There are a total of 156 schools of all levels and types in Changqing District, including 40 primary schools, 17 junior middle schools, 2 nine-year schools, 3 senior middle schools, 1 12-year school, 3 secondary vocational schools, 1 special education school and 91 kindergartens. The number of full-time teachers reaches 5663, and that of students amounts to 73150, including 13 international students .

The Education and Sports Bureau of Changqing District firmly upholds the development goal of "building a modern education strong district" and adheres to the guiding philosophy of "education makes Changqing more charming." It establishes a work philosophy that focuses on frontline work, emphasizes students, and considers teaching as the core. With the implementation of the "1355" frontline work method, which consists of "three Face -to-Face Communication Skills plus one Hotline" and "Five -must Principles on School Management" and "Five-must Fulfillment on Education Management" , the Bureau has facilitated education service paths and implemented meticulous teaching and governance， in which case school principal management, teaching management, classroom management, quality management, and school management have been comprehensively strengthened. The district pioneered the "integrated education circle" for cultivating morality through all-around environments, which has been awarded as an outstanding achievement in cultivating morality through all-around environments in Jinan and a full-chain cultivation project in comprehensive education reform. Additionally, Boyuan Primary School has been established as the Changqing campus of Shandong Normal University Affiliated Primary School, and affiliated junior high schools, primary schools, and kindergartens have been jointly run with Qilu Normal University. Three sessions of the University Student Culture and Art Festival have been held, promoting high-quality development in school-locality integration and education teaching through high-quality Party  construction and collaboration.

In 2023, Changqing District was honored as the third batch of demonstration areas for inclusive education for disabled children and adolescents in the province. The District Education and Sports Bureau also won the Shandong Province Civilized Unit, Shandong Province Primary and Middle School Labor Education Work Outstanding Unit, the City's Ethnic Unity and Progress Demonstration Unit, and Shandong Province All-environment Moral Education Theme Exhibition Award. The essay "All-labor: Creating the 'Changqing Sample' of Labor Education in the New Era" was presented as a typical experience at the seminar on the promotion and exchange of reforms in key areas of primary education in Shandong Province.
