Charting the Future of Education, Deepening Integration Between Jinan and Hong Kong


To foster the spirit of educator excellence, build a high-quality and professional teaching force, and promote collaborative development and experience-sharing in education between the mainland and Hong Kong, from December 9 to 11, the third cohort of the second phase of the“Hong Kong Leading Teachers and Principals Training Programm”(hereafter the“Leading Programme”), organized by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and coordinated by South China Normal University, conducted a three-day immersive job-shadowing and exchange at Jinan University Town Experimental Senior High School.



Themed around "Immersion and Perception," "Exchange and Integration," and "Leadership and Co-creation," the programme progressed in stages. Through various formats such as thematic presentations, campus tours, classroom observations, participation in teaching and research activities, and salon dialogues, the Hong Kong teacher team gained a comprehensive understanding of the school's distinctive achievements in cultural development, curriculum implementation, and educational practices. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including educational reform, the cultivation of students' comprehensive qualities, and teacher professional development. These exchanges enhanced mutual understanding through the collision of ideas and inspired new insights through the sharing of experiences.



This visit to Jinan under the "Leading Programme" successfully established a two-way interactive and mutually beneficial platform for educational exchange. The activity further deepened the recognition and understanding of each other's educational philosophies and practices among educators from Jinan and Hong Kong. It laid a solid foundation for sustained regional educational collaboration and gathered new momentum to jointly advance the high-quality development of education in China.


Moving forward, the educational sectors of both regions will seize this opportunity to continuously expand the scope of cooperation, enrich the content of exchanges, and work hand in hand to foster virtue through education and nurture a new generation capable of meeting the demands of the times, thereby co-writing a new chapter in educational development.
