On January 20th, the 2024 Jinan Campus Ice and Snow Winter Camp, sponsored by the Jinan Education Bureau and organized by the Social Affairs Administration Bureau of the Southern Mountainous Area Management Committee, opened smoothly at the Jinxiangshan Ski Resort in the Southern Mountainous Area. Song Yu, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Education Bureau, participated in the event.

This event aimed to popularize ice and snow sports, enabling more teenagers to understand and fall in love with them, thus promoting the healthy growth of children and teenagers across the city. The event was divided into primary school and junior high school groups, including two competitive events: alpine skiing and snowboarding slalom, as well as four snow-entertainment events: snowball-carrying run, snow shuffleboard, snow frisbee, and snow tug-of-war. More than 400 students were attracted to participate.

This ice and snow extravaganza provided children with a stage to get close to ice and snow, challenge themselves, and have fun. It not only allowed children to showcase their elegance and strength in ice and snow sports but also promoted the development of campus ice and snow sports in our city. In the next step, the Jinan Education Bureau will continue to leverage the advantages of ice and snow resources, cultivate students' interest in ice and snow sports, improve their ice and snow sports skills and levels, give full play to the educational function of the "most beautiful home court", and guide students to achieve all - round development in the ice and snow world.
