Overview of the Education System of the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation

Early Childhood Education: As of March 2024, the area has a total of 38 kindergartens of all levels and types, with over 480 teaching staff. Among them are 24 public kindergartens, 6 public nature kindergartens, and 8 private kindergartens (including 5 public-interest private kindergartens and 3 non-profit private kindergartens). There are 4 provincial-level demonstration kindergartens (1 municipal top 10 kindergarten and 3 provincial demonstration kindergartens), accounting for 10.53%. There are 13 first-class kindergartens at the provincial level, 15 second-class kindergartens, and 6 third-class kindergartens, with first-class or above accounting for 44.74%. The total number of children in kindergartens in the area is 3,432, of which 2,645 are in public kindergartens and 634 are in public-interest private kindergartens. The proportion of children in public kindergartens is 77%, and the proportion of children in public-interest kindergartens is 95.54%, exceeding the basic requirements of 50% and 80%.

Compulsory Education: There are 24 schools of compulsory education stage with 944 teaching staff in the area, including 19 primary schools and 5 junior high schools. There are 12,862 students enrolled, including 9,460 in primary schools and 3,402 in junior high schools.

Community Education: There is one community education central school in the area: Daqiao Community Education Central School. The school's "Daqiao Street 'Bridge·Heart' All-People Reading" project was awarded as the 2023 Jinan Community Education Demonstration Project.

Extracurricular Tutoring Institutions: There are currently 10 private tutoring institutions in the district, all of which are non-academic tutoring institutions.
