At present, there is 1 university, 1 technician college, 1 teacher training school, 61 primary and secondary schools, 191 kindergartens in the whole county. There are 5309 teachers, 73760 students in primary and middle schools, and 20,718 children in kindergartens.

  The overall planning of educational resources and continuous optimization of educational distribution. 

   With the priority of ensuring investment in education given by the  County    Party Committee and county government,in 2020, 16 education projects have got started, covering all sections from kindergarten to university, with a total investment  of 3.65 billion yuan, a total building area of 734,000 square meters and can accommodate 28000 newly added students. In 2022, the second phase of Be a Stronger County By Education project started, with a total investment of 1.02 billion  yuan and a total construction area of 156,000 square meters. It will enable to accept 6,600 newly added students, 7,200 beds and 6,844 tables. It will be completed and put into use by 2024, and the whole educational standard will reach a new level.

  Strengthening both cultivation and introduction, and significantly increasing the strength of teachers 

   We have strengthened the recruitment of teachers. From 2020 to 2023, a total of 1,100 teachers were recruited to the front line of teaching through the callback of outstanding talents, the selection and recruitment of government-funded normal students, and through recruiting teachers publicly. We have built up teacher training program，set up the training program for famous teachers and academic leaders in Shanghe,  steadily carried out full-staff training, pre-job training for new  teachers,and on-the-job training for principals and key teachers.The number of teacher training is more than 10,000 every year.

   Adhering to quality first, the level of school running has been continuously Improved.

   The coverage of kindergartens for mainly benefiting preschool education reached 94.64 percent ,and the children in public kindergartens account for 65.81 percent.we have fulfilled the goal of the 14th Five-Year Plan for preschool education in provinces, cities and counties ahead of schedule. About basic education, we have vigorously implemented the project of "educating famous teachers, creating famous schools, and creating famous brands",and have deepened and balanced the development of compulsory education. Besides,we have continued to promote the reform of schools’ location distribution and school-school bonding. We have deepened the campaign of  Strengthen towns and build foundations, and established four towns and streets as pilot townships at provincial or municipal levels.What’s more, the vocational education expanded in many sides, and the enrollment in Shandong Technical University of Engineering, Xinhua Education Group, and Jinan New Technology Application School continued to expand.
