Lixia District, is Jinan’s economic, cultural and tourism district. There are 79 primary and secondary schools and vocational schools as well as 131 kindergartens with more than 130,000 students and 6,700 teachers and staff.

Universal County, Shandong Province People’s Satisfaction Civil Service Demonstration Unit, Shandong Province Wisdom Education Demonstration Zone, Shandong Province Education Evaluation Reform Experimental Zone, Shandong Province With Classes Demonstration Zone, Shandong Province Pre-school Education Game Activity Experimental Zone, Shandong Province Family Education Demonstration Base, Shandong Province Advanced Collective for Safety Work, Shandong Province Advanced Collective for Construction of Stronger Provinces in Sports, and Shandong Province Vocational Education Reform and Development with Significant Effectiveness in the Year of 2022. The urban area ranked ninth in the country in the “2021 China’s Top 100 Counties and cities in Fair Education” selection. In November 2023, it successfully passed the acceptance of Ministry of Education’s National Pre-school Education Popularization and Universalization County (District).
