Delegation of Shandong Jigang Senior High School Paid a Visit to the Sister School Sotunki Upper Secondary School in Finland

At the invitation of Sotunki Upper Secondary School in Vantaa, Finland, the delegation consisting of 13 members from Shandong Jigang Senior High School whose leader is Mr. Sang Shengwang paid an educational exchange visit to it from October 7, 2024 to October 11. 

During the visit, Principal Sang Shengwang had a detailed communication about the school-running situation and classroom teaching reforming with Esa Partarnen who is the principal of the Sotunki Upper Secondary School. The two sides signed the Memo for “Further Strengthen Educational and Teaching Cooperation”, which will lay a solid foundation for the future cooperation of the two schools.

The delegation observed physics, math, geography, English and biology classes in Sotunki Upper Secondary School respectively, where they learnt the ways and methods of classroom teaching that are carried out by the Finnish teachers. After the observation, the delegation had a heated discussion about the observed classes with the teachers. Mr. Meng Lingjiang and all the students gave the Finnish students lessons about traditional Chinese culture as well as Chinese traditional performances. All the lessons and performances were well-received by the Finnish students, which made them have a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional culture and enhance the cultural exchange between China and Finland. Through this visit, the two schools have reached an agreement to visit mutually on a yearly basis in the future, which will provide more opportunities for the teachers and students to communicate.
