Jinan No. 3 Middle School Welcomes "Old Friends" from France

On the morning of October 17, a 33-person friendly delegation from Lycée Henri Bergson in France, led by principal BEAUDET Fabrice, came to Jinan No. 3 Middle School for a friendly visit. During the one-week study tour, teachers and students from both countries carried out in-depth exchanges, established deep friendship, and wrote a new chapter in education that transcends national boundaries.

At the welcome ceremony, Song Jinbo, the principal of Jinan No. 3 Middle School, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of all teachers and students, expressing a warm welcome to the French guests who came from afar. He also emphasized the importance and positive significance of educational exchanges for broadening the international horizons of teachers and students. Mr. BEAUDET Fabrice expressed his gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception of Jinan No. 3 Middle School and said that he welcomes teachers and students of Jinan No. 3 Middle School to come to Bergson to enhance friendship and learn from each other.

After the welcome ceremony, the delegation officially started the tour of visits and exchanges. During the week, the teachers and students visited the Lingxiu and Shinan campuses andexperienced the rich and colorful classroom teaching. The teachers and students of No. 3 Middle School showed the French friends Chinese characteristic cultures such as Tai Chi, paper-cutting, Chinese knots, calligraphy, and Hanfu. Through on-site interactions, they felt the unique charm of Chinese culture in person.

The visiting teachers and students also enjoyed the performances brought by students from Chinese orchestra club, dance troupe, and aerobics team of Jinan No. 3 Middle School. They had exchanges and competitions on basketball, cricket, and baseball, enabling French friends to fully experience the educational characteristics and the demeanor of teachers and students of Jinan No. 3 Middle School.

In addition to experiencing the rich campus life, the students of Lycée Henri Bergson were also warmly received by their host families. They deeply experienced the life of Chinese families and students, understood the local customs and practices of Jinan, and felt the hospitality of Jinan people. Seven days of getting along have forged a deep friendship between the students of the two countries.

It is reported that Lycée Henri Bergson was built in 1982. The whole school is divided into four school stages: freshman year, sophomore year, junior year, and preparatory year. The school offers Chinese language classes. Many students choose Chinese as their second language. In 2011, Jinan No. 3 Middle School and Lycée Henri Bergson in France officially became sister schools. Teachers and students of the two schools regularly visit each other. At present, Lycée Henri Bergson has sent many delegations to visit the school.
